Back to work!. Till now, we had completed about 50% of the process of making a website/blog. Today, we will understand the concept of Nameservers & Domain Name.
Nameserver: As the name suggests Nameserver means Name of the server. Yesterday, we had purchased the hosting service from http://www.awardspace.net. So now we are having all the tools which are necessary for starting a website.
Talking about the concept, Basically the concept is that the domain name (name of your website) is just like a name of the person and hosting you can say as the body parts of the person. Without name we cannot call any person and without body parts person cannot perform any task.
In simple terms, whenever we fill up the address of any website like http://www.google.com, in backend it connects the name of the domain to the hosting/server(in this case server of Google) and server returns data (like images, links etc) and website comes in front of us.
Domain Name: Domain name is the name of the website, and when we fill the address of website in our browser, the domain name must know where It is hosted, for this Namservers are to be filled at the domain name provider’s website.
So it is important that our domain name must be pointing to hosting account/server, for completing this task, visit the domain name provider’s website.
In our case our domain name provider is http://www.co.cc.
STEP 1: Login to http://www.co.cc. By clicking at the link “Returning user, sign in here”.
STEP 2: After filling credentials at login page, the next page you will be facing “Manage Domains” page.
Click on the “Setup” Button or “Click on the “Domain Name”.
At next Page. Click on the “Setup” Button Again.
Now, after clicking on the setup button, on the next page you will see four type of service 1. Name Server 2. Zone Records 3. URL Forwarding 4. Webhosting(with Fee).

NOTE: IT MAY TAKE ABOUT 24-48 HOURS TO TAKE EFFECT THROUGHOUT THE INTERNET.
After filling the two name servers, click on “Setup”. That’s It!!
Congratulations!. Please wait for 24 Hours. In the next part we will learn “How to install wordpress at your domain”. Stay Tuned!…
