I had researched over some great tips & tricks which will help you to have your status different from others.

Adding Dislike Option in your Status Update

You have seen like buttons spread all over the facebook, have you ever seen “Dislike” button.

For this you have to use a fruitful “Status Magic” Facebook App, it can add dislike button to any status updates posted via this app. On the other hand if you really like to come up with customized buttons like “Love”, “Disagree” or “LOLz”.

Restrict Your Status Updates to Selected People

You can implement this by using Facebook’s general privacy settings (Under Account Button, on the top right). You can select whether everyone, or just friends or friends of friends can see your status updates.

To use this feature, click on padlock icon just below your “What’s on your mind” box on your wall and a drop down menu should appear. Selecting “customize” will bring up more options such as “Make this visible to” and “Hide From” with the option to make your selection a default.

Just sign in with facebook connect, select your time zone, type in what you would like to say, set the calendar date & time when you would like to say it! :)

Tag People in Your Status Messages

To mention someone in status update just type “@” , then start typing name, an auto-generated list will come up with people in your network.

Adding Symbols to Your Status

There are plenty of emoticons that work with facebook chat, but while using that emoticons in your status updates, they do not get converted into smiley sweet face. The only symbol you can create in your facebook status update through the shortcut keys is a ♥, by typing “<3”.
