Dell’s 3G Smartphone – Dell Aero @ Rs. 11,999 [India][Features]

Dell India’s biggest computer brand released a highly anticipated handset a year ago in U.S i.e. Dell Aero. It was sad for the reviewers, because it ran on very first version of Android OS. It was said that, Dell took too much time customizing the operating system. The phone will debut in India at the lower end of the big screen Android market and it is the Dell’s first 3G smartphone in the India Market.

Dell Aero is the light, slim and sleek Android phone and is 2G and 3G enabled. It runs on Android operating system. Before launching it in India, the handset has been upgraded from Android 1.5 to Android 2.1 (Eclair). Dell Aero’s performance is powered by Marvell PXA310 624 MHz processor which gives the phone fast and smooth functioning. Users can also experience higher multitasking, faster browsing and gaming.

The device is sported 5MP camera and microSD card support, and have a multi-touch capacitive screen, with tap navigation. Aero gives a lot of functionality with fun to its users.

  2. Have been eying it since yesterday. Was hoping to see a hands on review with the 2.1 upgrade as the reviews for cupcake version are outright depressing.

  3. Worst phone by DELL you even can’t sync it with your PC (Sync Tool Missing) . You will not able to know which Android Version you are using bcos it shows Firmware Version instead of Android Version. More above there are 3G issues with this device, you can’t use it with Vodafone, MTNL etc..
    There are much better phones in market at same cost by Motorolla / HTC / Samsung / Nokia etc..
