Comparison – LG Optimus Black Vs HTC Wildfire S [Detailed Review]

Both LG and HTC gives cut throat competition to each other but there are times when one leaves the other far behind. LG and HTC, both launched their all new smartphones named as LG Optimus Black and HTC Wildfire S respectively in May of this year. Both the phone gained lots of popularity. Now let us see which one between them is the best and has more potential to better than the other. Here is the comparison –

LG Optimus Black Vs HTC Wildfire S

Operating System

It is the heart of the phone and decides many things. If your OS won’t be a nice and a popular one than you will never be able to get too many apps for your phone and this also reduces the versatility of the phone. So it is always mandatory to check on which OS will your phone be running. LG Optimus Black runs on Android v2.2 (Froyo) and is also upgradable to Android v2.3 (Gingerbread). This means you will never run out of apps as LG has got one of the most popular OS in the world. HTC Wildfire S runs on Android v2.3 (Gingerbread). Both the phones run on same Operating Systems but the difference is you can also run your LG Optimus Black on Android v2.2. This increases the versatility of your phone but I think you can do the same with Wildfire S.

Camera and Photography

Do you have a digital camera? If no then you don’t need to worry because these days phones are already embedded with small yet powerful cameras. Likewise, both HTC Wildfire S and LG Optimus Black are also equipped with cameras. LG Optimus Black is embedded with one primary camera of 5 MP resolutions with LED flash and one secondary camera of 2 MP resolutions. On the other hand HTC Wildfire S is embedded with only one primary camera of 5 MP resolutions with LED flash.

Video and Filmography

As I have mentioned earlier in the previous category that the phones these days are generally equipped with cameras which allows you to click pictures of high-resolution. Those cameras also allow you to shoot videos of high quality. LG Optimus Black allows you to shoot HD videos of dimensions 720p at the speed of 30fps while HTC Wildfire S also allows you to shoot videos in HD that is of dimensions 720p but the speed is a bit slower than LG Optimus Black, it is 24fps.

Processor and Performance

Do you want your phone to hang every now and then? Probably not because no one wants to waste time and moreover nobody has time! So it’s always mandatory to buy a phone with a robust processor. Processor which at least run your phone at a manageable speed. The processors of both the phone, LG Optimus Black and HTC Wildfire S are awesome and work at really high-speed. LG Optimus Black’s processor is a 1 GHz Cortex-A8 processor with TI OMAP 3630 chipset. While the processor of HTC Wildfire S is a bit slower. HTC Wildfire S is powered by a 600 MHz processor, the name of the processor is yet not revealed by the company.

Winner – LG Optimus Black

Storage and Capacity

Everyone has a family and everyone has his/her family pictures and videos in his phone. What if you will not have enough space for your family on your phone? This concludes that storage capacity of the phone is one of the major factors which should be kept in mind while buying a good smartphone. Storage capacity of LG Optimus Black is internal memory 2 GB and its expandable up to 32GB which isn’t bad. 32GB means more 5,000+ songs,32,000+ images and much more! Storage Capacity of HTC Wildfire S is 512 MB ROM and expandable up to 32GB. Expandable memories are almost the same but the internal memories have a huge difference! Difference of 1.5 GB which means 200+ songs and I don’t want to miss that much amount of songs.

Winner – LG Optimus Black

RAM

RAM stands for random access memory and this memory plays an important role because if you will have low RAM then there are more chances of your phone getting hanged. So RAM also should be considered an important factor while buying a phone. LG Optimus is equipped with 512 MB RAM and HTC Wildfire S is equipped with the same amount of RAM i.e. 512MB. Both these RAMs are good but not the best as the phones nowadays are generally having 1 GB RAM.

Price

Price is something which we can’t overlook. If you are having a budget to buy a big phone then only you will be able to buy but if you randomly go to the shop, ask them to show good phones, they will try to thug and bargain you by showing costly phone with even adding more cost. So it’s always advised to take a look at the price before purchasing. Price of LG Optimus Black is Rs. 19,990 or $445. The price of HTC Wildfire S is Rs.13,900 or $310.

Winner – HTC Wildfire S
