Good news for the Samsung galaxy loves who can’t afford to buy the Galaxy S II smartphone. Samsung is going to release Galaxy S II’s sibling mobile phone. Though the Galaxy S II mobile has not reached the US market and Samsung is ready to release its sibling phone Galaxy R.
The Phone is going to be first released in the European market later it would be released globally. The video demo of this phone was first published by Sammy Hub blog. When we look at the features and specifications of this sibling phone of Galaxy S II the features are shaved compared to Galaxy S II.
Design & Look
The Galaxy S II phone is called the thinnest and lightest phone of the world but when we look at the Galaxy R it is slightly thicker compared to S II . The Phone has 4.2-inch Super Clear LCD screen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and the screen looks brighter and gives a good view.
The speed of the phone could be slow when compared to Galaxy S II because it is built with new processor dual-core Tegra 2 where its eldest phones is built with 1.2GHz Exynos which can process at a high-speed
Though the Android’s latest release version is 3.2 this phone is expected to build with Android Gingerbread(v2.3) operating system with which the Galaxy S II was built. The Android v2.3 has a better features compared to its predecessor versions and we can’t expect v3.0 for this because Android v3.0 is embedded for the high-end devices like tablets .
Galaxy S II is built with 8MP cam Galaxy R is built with 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording, these features are enough to take quality images and videos. The additional common features which a smartphone need include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM Radio, music player are included in this phone. It is expected to have 8GB internal memory and there is microSD memory card slot where you can expand memory to 32GB.
The phone is expected to release at the fist week of August in UK. The price of Galaxy R is expected to be approximately 2/3 of the Galaxy S II which is manufactured especially to be affordable.
