5.3-inch Android Phone : Samsung Galaxy Note – 1280 X 800 Super AMOLED Display

Moving along with the growth of Samsung Galaxy series and smartphone market, today we are introduced with another member of Galaxy series i.e “Samsung Galaxy Note”. Today at IFA 2011, Samsung has unveiled this new and powerful 5.3-inch phone.

Galaxy Note is the first ever smartphone leashed with such a huge screen/display of 5.3-inches and this display is of Super AMOLED Technology and offers the resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.

Can you believe this resolution capacity is equivalent to the resolution of a 13-inch laptop? However, not only the screen resolution but other features of the phone are equivalent to a powerful laptop/PC. Samsung Galaxy Note is powered by 1.4GHz dual-core processor and supported by 1GB of RAM.

Samsung Galaxy Note

You can capture the precious moments of your life with its stunning 8MP rear and 2MP front camera.

This time you will be provided with the dedicated stylus for Galaxy Note known as β€œS Pen”. Stylus will help you in typing fast rather than using the virtual keyboard of the phone.

Knowingly, it is a Galaxy series device, so it for sure that, it’ll be running on Android OS. Samsung Galaxy Note is powered by Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread. This powerful device will be expected to be available in two variants i.e. 16GB and 32GB internal storage or either in one variant.

Although, no indications has been made about the release and price of the device. I am sure, it will be in the market soon. By the way, how you are feeling after hearing about this 5-inches Android device Huh!

  1. Looks like this could be a happy medium between the mobile and the tablet. . . lets call it a MOTAB!!. Also a stylus is a handy feature along side the capture and drawing features, a lot of industries will embrace this, especially for those chubby fingered people out there. (you try drawing professionally with your finger!!)

  2. A 5.3 inch phone! Wonder how people will hold it.

  3. Too large to be called a smartphone, tool small to be called a a tablet.
It may be the start of a new class of gadgets – MOTAB, as the above comment says πŸ˜€

  4. Rofl.. yea.. :)

when this is releasing in india.
    Please also mention price range

  7. It is a truly unique mobile device; I got to try one out a couple of weeks ago for the first time; once you start to use it for web browsing etc you get over the large size quite quickly, although I think I would use a Bluetooth headset with it rather than try to hold it up to my ear for making calls πŸ˜‰
