In my previous post I mentioned Samsung Galaxy Note to be a “counterpart” of the current smartphone of the year – Samsung Galaxy S 2. Samsung has been constantly providing people with phones which have tons of features and all the same they are available at very low price too! This is probably why Samsung is progressing so fast. Samsung Galaxy S 2 was a huge success from the Samsung company because Samsung has already sold more than 25 million units of it.
Now as Samsung Galaxy S 2 was getting out of date, Samsung decided to bombard the Indian phone market with another amazing and super sizzling phone – Samsung Galaxy Note which also belonged to the same group, Galaxy. Samsung Galaxy Note cannot be called a counterpart for Samsung Galaxy S 2 and here is why it can’t be.
OS of both the phones are same and they are Android v2.3 (Gingerbread). Samsung Galaxy phones are generally loaded with the most common OS of the year i.e. Android. Android v2.3 is the choice of the youngsters of our country and that’s what different companies like Samsung, HTC, etc are providing them.
Processor and Performance
There is a huge difference between the processors of two amazing phones. Samsung Galaxy S 2 was powered with Dual-core 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor, with Exynos chipset but Samsung Galaxy Note is powered with a super powerful Dual-core 1.4GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor, with Exynos chipset. There is no difference between the chipsets used in two processors but there is a huge difference in the clock speed of the processors of two phones.
Storage and Capacity
Storage capacity of both the phones is quite enough for daily use but let’s see whether the capacities are good enough to passify each other’s effect. Samsung Galaxy S 2 has 16GB internal memory which is upgradeable to 32GB via microSD card and on the other hand Samsung Galaxy Note is having 16GB internal memory and expandable memory up to 32GB via microSD card.
Camera and Photography
You can even record videos and click photos from these two amazing phones. Samsung Galaxy S 2 is having a 8MP camera with features like autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, image stabilization etc. It has a 2MP secondary camera and you can even record full HD videos of size 1080p from it and that too at the speed of 30fps.
On the other hand Samsung Galaxy Note is having the camera of 8MP with features like autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, image stabilization etc and it’s also having a secondary 2MP camera. It also allows you to shoot videos with the same quality and at the same speed.
