Comparison – Sony Tablet S vs HTC Puccini [Features & Specs]

Sony Tablet S

The name though sounds dull has a captivating design that covers the Android honeycomb tablet, which is second to none to iPad as a competitor, software-wise. The aerofoil of this tablet gives this a feeling of flying machine rather than the regular square, which makes everyone to feel for the second time, though none bothers for this is a bit thick but closed and protected. This has the credit of being the only folded tablet, which is a revolutionized design for being used like a desktop as this has a pair of rubber nubs to make the tablet sit well on the desktop.

The whole tablet measures only 9.5” × 6.8” with a 1280 × 800 display resolution with TruBlack technology. The surface of the screen is not made of Gorilla grass, but a scratch free display screen. What is not good about this tablet is that this does not provide with the option of directly paying from the SD card, but first requires to be copied to the internal memory, which goes to the maximum of 16 GB. In addition, this is being backed by NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 SoC processor, which makes this more of a tablet meeting the demands of using graphic demanding applications.

A comment about the battery life seems to be falling into the range of healthy batteries. Some of the other software features known about this tablet PC are the presence of Chumby emulation for docking, IR emitter for being controlled via remote, DLNA sharing and the inclusion of PlayStation Suite.

The tablet is going to host a 5 MP camera at the rear side of the tablet, while we have to wait for more information until the release of the tablet. Overall, there is a folded tablet, which is appealing to sight and is being hoped of being appealing for use too, and this is still not clear who is going to brand the product.

HTC Puccini

While one thing that is obsolete about this tablet PC is that, the PC is going to be launched with AT & T, and will be released with a new name, Jetstream. The device comes with the strong backing of Android 3.1 Honeycomb and will be sporting a 10.1” WXGA HD screen, 1.5 GHz dual core Snapdragon processor that has a 8 MP camera with a dual LED flash as well as a front facing 1.3 MP camera for making video calls.

HTC Puccini

This tablet PC has the following connectivity options like HSPA+ and LTE making this as one of the first and the fastest tablets around the world for mobile data transfer. What is not good about the tablet PC is the price, while many of the competing brands offer more and are priced lower, this tablet PC needs some reworking on their marketing strategy with such a high price. Overall, this is a promising tablet PC that can offer more, except that the price has to come down to make big in the tablet PC market.
