Cheapest Android Smartphone – Samsung Galaxy Y Priced @ Rs. 7,499 [Features]

Samsung Galaxy series has gained a huge amount of popularity among the young generation people and especially it stays in the heart of Android Seekers and Lovers. We had already covered an article about the 9 smartphones available in the Samsung Galaxy series (whereas I forgot to write about 10th Galaxy series phone).

Smartphones available in the Samsung Galaxy Series starts from 12K to 30K. The common feature of Galaxy series smartphones is “Touchscreen” and “Android OS”.

Still there are customers whose budget is less than 10K which makes the face sad and make them move away from the Galaxy series. Taking care for those customers, Samsung unveiled one of the cheapest smartphone in the Galaxy series i.e. Samsung Galaxy Y.

Samsung Galaxy Y

Samsung Galaxy Y is recognized as the cheapest smartphone available in the Galaxy series till date. There is a specific reason behind the name of this handset i.e. “Y” symbolizes “Young”. The name clearly indicates its choice i.e. its features and price are kept for Young Generation like students.

Samsung Galaxy Y features Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS with 832MHz processor which is partially sufficient for the satisfactory performance. It is installed with SWYPE virtual keyboard for quick and flawless typing experience.

You can swiftly use Wi-Fi/3.5G on this phone and get an amazing internet experience. The screen size of the phone matters the most in touchscreen phone, Galaxy Y holds 3.0-inches TFT capacitive touchscreen display. Its Android operating system is integrated with TouchWiz UI for awesome user-experience.

Besides this, its camera features are OK according to its price range. It is sported with 2MP fixed-focus camera which support panorama and smile shot. There is no secondary camera available in this phone! I cannot say anything about its video calling capability for now!

The internal memory of the phone is 180MB which can be expanded with the help of microSD card support upto 32GB. You can enjoy FM radio.

It is packed with 1200 mAh battery which offers a satisfactory amount of backup, as we all know Android OS is worst in battery consumption.
