Know More About HTC Sensation XL – Beats Audio, 1.5GHz Processor

Overview

HTC announced Sensation XL smartphone with Android Gingerbread layered by HTC Sense UI for smoother interface with Beats Audio licensed by Dr. Dre. HTC Sensation XL ,which was early codenamed as HTC Runnymede 2, it’s officially launched at Beats Event held in London. HTC Sensation XL is the another phone in the Sensation lineup from HTC and is similar to HTC Titan which is running on  Windows Phone 7 platform sharing the same screen size .You’ll enjoy the large 4.7 inch (480 x 800 resolution) Super LCD screen with tough Gorilla Glass which gives you ultimate multimedia experience.

HTC Sensation XL

Many of you would be wondering about HTC Sensation XE which is launched recently,also powered by Beats Audio system, howsoever, the difference lies in the processing power. The Sensation XL’s  processor is only single-core, whereas the Sensation XE is dual core for super-fast experience & the screen of Sensation XE is 4.3 inch (960 x 540 pixels resolution).Under the hood,the Sensation XL runs a single-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 processor with Adreno 205 graphics chip and 768 MB RAM .

Sensation XL is only 9.9mm thick giving a sleek premium design. On the rear it packs amazing 8 megapixel camera with an F2.2 lens, a dual LED flash and a BSI sensor, it is capable of recording HD video in 720p.In the front there is 1.3 megapixel camera for video calling & chatting and on bottom touch controls home, menu, back and search. On the top you have the normal standby button and 3.5mm headphone jack, with volume controls on the side. A single Micro-USB is on the bottom edge – there is no HDMI out, as you might find on rival devices.

Speaking of the audio quality, HTC sensation comes with Specially made headsets which offer unparalleled audio experience. Limited addition HTC Sensation XL will be coming with Solo headphone’s ( which HTC saying upbeats). The phone will  automatically give you the special audio profile once you connected the  Solo headphone. Interesting part of this handset is that it supports the m4a and m4v file formats which are typically used for the Apple iOS devices for high quality Audio and Video.. HTC Sensation features 16GB of inbuilt memory and is non-expandable as there’s no microSD card slot. Only 12.6GB of storage is actually available to the user which is not enough for a music lover who have over 10gigs of music collection.

HTC has added 1600 mAh battery offering 12hrs of talk-time, several connectivity features like WiFi (802.11 b/g/n) for wireless connectivity & Bluetooth v3.0. HTC did not specified the price of this handset at launch but it will be available first in UK followed by other countries.
